# Updating your resource

To update your resource ensure you follow all the steps below:

1. Save a back up of the script before updating as a safety precaution. Scripts occasionally break due to potential compatibility issues with the old data
2. Once you have saved a back up, you can update your script by redownloading the asset from your [**FiveM Keymaster**](https://keymaster.fivem.net/login?return_url=/assets) account
